My Bio
I am an indie visual artist who was born in Odessa, Texas where I began my work in oil paintings in High School and in recent years I've delved into sculpture as well. My subject matter falls predominantly in the realm of nature, fantasy, mythology, folklore and legend.

I started Primal Aspects as a family owned business in January of 2009 and together with my husband we create pieces of all sorts whenever inspiration hits or someone throws us a creative idea. Most of our stuff is available on our

Troy has been playing around with Windows Live Movie Maker and put together this video clip of some of our Pyrography pieces set to the really cool music of Kyle MacConnell. This guy is awesome to watch perform live. He plays a didgeridoo and a guitar at the same time on some numbers and also plays a pretty mean violin. I know it's pretty mean, it growled at me once! LOL! Here's the clip: Pyrography by Emily Dewbre-Young

Changed My Mind

0 min read
Okay, I changed my mind. Maybe a journal isn't such a bad thing after all. If nothing else it gives me a place to share cool quotes like these: ”A painting in a museum probably hears more foolish remarks than anything else in the world.” - Edmond and Jules De Goncourt. LOL! :)

Well, it might get kinda tedious to keep a journal going in all of the places that offer one so don't expect to see a lot of new and interesting stuff posted here. Instead check our blog for that sort of thing: http://primalaspects.blogspot.com/ Thank You Muchly! :)
